VIN DIESEL ANNOUNCES NEW CHAPTERS IN RIDDICK SAGA

It seems that the next chapter in "The Chronicles of Riddick" is finally moving ahead. Vin Diesel has revealed yesterday that location scouting on the next chapter in this popular sf saga is currently underway in New Zealand. He has also revealed that David Twohy has completed the script. To remind you, Vin Diesel has shared some new thoughts on future installments of the franchise this summer. Here's what he said few months ago: "The Riddick discussion is about rating now. Though Hollywood likes their PG Ratings, the next chapter in the Riddick series was always envisioned as an R rating, like "Pitch Black". One Studio executive suggested doing both "The Underverse" and "The Furyan" (working titles) at the same time, allowing us an R rating for the first and a PG rating for the second.

  1. This could be interesting. I would like if they keep the cast from last movie, so we could have power struggle between Riddick and Urban-Newton couple. That is, if they decide to follow up on second film's story.

  2. Yes, yes, Diesel mixed with Urban and Newton, but you forgot dame Judi Dench as Aeron :))But it seems they want to make it closer to PITCH BLACK which I didn't like that much.

  3. I preferred Pitch Black and thought Chronicles of Riddick was a rather big dud to be honest. Granted I don't think this is really happening, at least not as much as Vin Diesel wants people to think. Pitch Black and Riddick both barely made their money back at the box office if you include worldwide gross. Not exactly the surefire hits hollywood is looking to spend $50-$100million on.

  4. This is excellent news! I loved Pitch Black and 'Chronicles of Riddick'. I want more saga from the Underverse since Karl Urban kinda got the throne robbed from him. LOL!

  5. I prefer THE CHRONICLES OF RIDDICK, not just because of the amazing cast with my favourite Karl Urban, Thandie Newton and Judi Dench, but also because it had amazing sets, costumes, action scenes, characters, and it was very glamorous and flamboyant in style of the famous space-operas. I love that. I don't think they are going for such a big budget this time, since it will be made like PITCH BLACK which wasn't an expensive movie.
